ABT RS6-R – Audi RS6 on steroids
Audi RS 6 has been the perfect synergy of the sports car and touring estate from the inception of first-generation. Each new Audi RS 6 generation is perfected with new developments. The latest edition is the first to feature optional all-wheel steering. This reduces the turning circle and at speeds above 100 km/h, the rear wheels steer to aid stability. ABT Sportsline did work with this excellent base and is transformed Audi RS 6 into the special limited to 125 vehicles edition ABT RS6-R.
The basis of the ABT RS6-R package is the ABT Power R performance upgrade, which gives a healthy 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm in the 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine. That is a boost of 140 hp (103 kW) and 120 Nm over the factory model. Being a special limited edition, the ABT RS6-R also brings visual enhancement. The Bavarian company has developed high-quality ABT Aerodynamics carbon body components, which give the RS6-R’s front, in particular, a much more aggressive and striking appearance.
The package includes among other things, an ABT front lip and front grille frame add-on, rear skirt add-on, side skirt attachments, and fender inserts. The tuners have made ten interior components available. As such, the ABTleather and carbon finish for the steering wheel is both sporty and luxurious. The limited quantity of the RS6-R is immortalized in the ABT door sills (1 of 125) in the door frame. At the rear, the stainless steel ABT exhaust system with 4 carbon end pipes emphasizes the sporty character of the vehicle.
This is further underlined by the weight-optimized 22-inch ABT High-Performance HR. These wheels are manufactured via a flow forming process and come into their own in combination with the ABT suspension program. The RS 6 has been praised by the automotive press for its superb handling characteristics. ABT Coilover suspension springs and sports anti-roll bars add the finishing touches.
An optional, enhanced ABT interior package is also available, comprising carbon dashboard covers and seat frame covers and 22-inch ABT HR Aero wheels.
